Welcome Break operates around 50 motorway service areas across England, Scotland and Wales. Every site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The food line-up typically includes KFC, Starbucks, Subway, Burger King, WHSmith and Costa, though the exact mix varies by site. Well-known locations include Beaconsfield on the M40 (one of the busiest services in England), Fleet South and Fleet North on the M3, and Oxford on the A34/M40 junction. Welcome Break bought the former Roadchef sites in Scotland and a number of English sites over the years, so coverage extends from Rownhams on the M27 north to Stirling on the M9.

EV charging at Welcome Break
Welcome Break has EV charging at a growing number of its sites through two main partnerships. GeniePoint rapid chargers (typically 50 kW CCS and CHAdeMO) appear at several Welcome Break locations. GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hubs, with CCS bays up to 350 kW, have also been installed at select sites as part of GRIDSERVE's wider motorway programme, including at Beaconsfield (M40). Not every Welcome Break has rapid charging: smaller or older sites may have slower AC charge points or no charging provision at all. Check the Jornee app for live bay availability before you set off. No booking is needed or available through Jornee.

HGV and lorry parking at Welcome Break
Welcome Break provides HGV lorry parking at a number of its sites, though capacity and facilities vary. Tibshelf Services on the M1 in Derbyshire and Trowell Services on the M1 in Nottinghamshire are two of the larger HGV sites in the network, each with dedicated lorry parks separate from car parking. Drivers should check site-specific parking information before arrival, as bay availability changes throughout the day and terms for HGV stays vary by site. The Jornee app flags which Welcome Break sites list HGV parking as a facility.
