Jornee builds a polyline-shaped corridor around your planned route from A to B (default width 1 mile / 1.6 km), then searches POIs inside that corridor. Stops are ranked by added detour time, not radial distance.
Google Maps "search along route" returns places loosely near the polyline but optimized for arrival at the destination. Jornee inverts the priority: it ranks by how little extra time a stop adds and only shows stops directly accessible from the highway.
