HOW IT WORKS

From two empty fields to a planned drive.

Jornee searches a corridor around your actual route — not a circle around your current location. Every stop wears the minutes it costs you, in green, amber or red.

01 · Plan

Two fields. Then everything you care about.

Type a start, type a destination — or tap current location. Add waypoints if you need them. Pick a brand or category (Burger King, Shell, EV charger, toilet, rest area). Set a detour budget from +1 to +30 minutes.

  • Address auto-complete via OpenStreetMap
  • Up to 5 waypoints per route
  • Vehicle profile applied automatically
  • 3 brands at a time on Free; unlimited on Pro
The peach band is the corridor — stops inside it get ranked
02 · Rank

Every stop shows what it actually costs.

No more "0.4 km from your route" — that doesn't tell you anything. Jornee shows the minutes the stop adds to your drive. Green for ≤ 2 minutes, amber for ≤ 7, red for anything beyond. Sort by detour, by brand match, or by rating.

+1 min
GREEN · 0-2 min
Take it — it's on the route.
+5 min
AMBER · 3-7 min
Worth it for the right brand.
+12 min
RED · 8+ min
Skip unless you need it.
Detour minutes = time off the motorway and back, not crow-flies distance
03 · Choose

Tap a stop. See exactly what you're getting.

The detail page shows what's open, who else is there (live count for EV chargers), what facilities exist (toilets, drive-thru, EV, shower for HGVs, Wi-Fi), and the most recent reviews. Tap once to add it to your route — Jornee folds the detour minutes into your ETA.

  • Live open-now status (not just "open today")
  • EV stall occupancy via OCPI feeds
  • Highway service area badge — not a 2 km off-ramp hop
  • Truck-rated parking with live bay count (truck mode)

04 · Drive

Hand off to your nav, or drive inside Jornee.

Some drivers want Jornee to plan, then hand the route to Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze or another nav of choice. Pro Driver users can stay inside Jornee for turn-by-turn — useful for offline corridors and EU 561/2006 rest-break reminders.

BEHIND THE SCENES

The data pipeline, in six honest sentences.

TomTom · HERE

Routing engine

TomTom Routing v1 with truck and EV params; HERE Routing v8 as fallback for ev-truck profiles. Both run server-side — never on-device — so vehicle data stays minimal.

TomTom POI

Stop catalogue

TomTom POI with vehicleTypeSet=Truck for HGV filtering. Four truck-specific categories: truck_stop, truck_parking, truck_service, weigh_station. Real-time bay counts from Tank & Rast and Truckparking.eu feeds.

OCPI 2.2

EV availability

OCPI 2.2 feeds direct from Ionity, Fastned, Allego, EnBW, BP Pulse, GridServe, Osprey, Tesla Supercharger and 6 more networks. Stall-level live data, refreshed every 60 seconds.

OpenStreetMap

Address & geocoding

Photon (OSM-hosted) for address auto-complete and reverse geocoding. No Google Places dependency, so no per-search license cost — that's how we can give 10 free searches a day, forever.

EU only

Where it lives

Servers in Amsterdam (Hetzner), backup in Frankfurt. No data leaves the EU. No advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID). Sub-processors: Hetzner, Postmark, Stripe — that's the whole list.

Open

No paid placement

A brand can never pay to rank higher in your results. Rankings are determined only by your stated preference + detour minutes + open-now status. We charge users, never brands.
