GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hubs at a glance
GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hubs are high-power CCS charging stations installed at motorway service areas under long-term partnerships with Moto (from 2021) and Welcome Break. Each hub has between 6 and 12 or more CCS bays, all capable of up to 350 kW per bay. The Moto partnership is the primary deployment channel: confirmed GRIDSERVE hub locations include Moto Donington Park on the M1, Moto Cherwell Valley on the M40, and Moto Rugby on the M6. Additional GRIDSERVE hubs have been installed at Welcome Break sites including Beaconsfield on the M40. The network is expanding, so coverage grows as new hubs are commissioned.

GRIDSERVE charging speeds
Every GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hub bay uses CCS2 and is rated at up to 350 kW. How fast your car actually charges depends on its own maximum AC or DC acceptance rate and the battery state of charge. Cars that support 150 kW or more, such as a Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 or BMW iX, can add 100 miles of range in roughly 20 to 30 minutes at a 350 kW GRIDSERVE bay when the battery is between 20 and 80 percent. Not every car reaches 350 kW: a car limited to 50 kW will charge no faster at a GRIDSERVE hub than at any other 50 kW rapid charger. The hub's power is split dynamically across active bays.

GRIDSERVE pricing
GRIDSERVE charges per kWh with no session fee. Payment is by contactless card or through the GRIDSERVE app. No membership or subscription is required to use a GRIDSERVE hub: tap and charge. As of 2025 there was no joining fee, but pricing per kWh changes over time, so the specific pence-per-kWh figure is not quoted here; check the GRIDSERVE website or app for current rates before you charge. The Jornee app does not process payments; it shows the hub location and rated speed.
