Moto motorway services on your route
Moto is the largest motorway service operator in the UK by site count, with over 60 locations. Every site is open around the clock with food, fuel and toilets. GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hubs at select Moto sites deliver up to 350 kW CCS charging. This page covers where Moto sites sit on the major corridors, which have GRIDSERVE charging, which carry large HGV lorry parks, and how Jornee orders them by added detour time on your route.

Moto's footprint spans from Pease Pottage in the south to Stirling in Scotland.

EV charging at Moto: GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hubs
Moto partnered with GRIDSERVE in 2021 to bring Electric Super Hubs to its network. GRIDSERVE hubs at Moto sites use CCS2 chargers rated at up to 350 kW per bay, with multiple bays per hub. Moto Donington Park on the M1 and Moto Cherwell Valley on the M40 are among the sites with GRIDSERVE installations. Not all Moto sites have GRIDSERVE: some carry older rapid chargers from other providers or only slower AC charging. No booking is needed or available through Jornee; bays are used on a first-come, first-served basis.
| Network | Connector | Typical max | Named sites |
|---|---|---|---|
| GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hub | CCS2 | 350 kW | Donington Park (M1), Cherwell Valley (M40) |
| Other rapid | CCS2 / CHAdeMO | 50–150 kW | Varies by site |
| AC fast | Type 2 | 7–22 kW | Varies by site |

HGV and lorry parking at Moto
Moto sites carry dedicated lorry parks at the majority of locations. HGV parking is separated from car parking and typically accessed via a different entrance. Large HGV capacity is available at high-throughput sites on the M1, M6 and M25 corridors. Overnight parking arrangements and whether a fee applies vary by site, so check with the specific location. The Jornee app filters to Moto sites with HGV parking so long-distance lorry drivers can plan their mandatory rest stops in advance.
| Site | Motorway | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Donington Park | M1 | Large lorry park, 24/7 |
| Stafford North | M6 | Dedicated HGV area |
| Newport Pagnell | M1 | Lorry parking available |
| Other Moto sites | Various | Majority have HGV parking |

How Jornee ranks Moto on your route
Jornee orders Moto services by added detour time from your active route, not by straight-line distance. A Moto site directly on a junction slip road ranks ahead of one that requires a 3-minute diversion, even if the second is nominally closer to your start. You can narrow the list by facility: EV charging speed (filter to sites with GRIDSERVE 350 kW, for example), food brand, or HGV parking. The app shows the detour penalty for each stop so you can pick the one that costs the least time.
