Find restaurants and fast food along your route, ranked by detour time
Type in your route once and Jornee checks the full corridor for places to eat, not just what is near a single pin, then ranks every result by how many minutes it actually adds to your trip.
Works for cars, HGVs, motorbikes and EVs
How to find food and restaurants on your route
To find food and restaurants on your route, run an on-route search in Jornee: it checks every restaurant, fast food outlet and cafe along your planned corridor, then ranks each one by the actual detour minutes it adds instead of straight-line distance from a point on the map. Most map apps search a radius around wherever you drop a pin. Jornee works differently: it searches the full corridor from your route start to your destination and returns food stops sorted by the driving time each one actually costs.

Why detour minutes beat straight-line distance
A restaurant sitting a few miles off the motorway can add far more driving time than one right at the next junction, once the slip road, the local roads and rejoining the corridor are all counted. Straight-line distance treats both the same. Jornee's detour-minutes ranking does not. Every food stop returned by an on-route search carries a real added-driving-time figure, calculated against your specific route, so the option that costs the least time to actually reach is easy to spot at the top of the list.

Filter by brand, category and open-now
Once the corridor search returns results, narrow them by brand if you already know what you want, by category to separate fast food from sit-down restaurants and cafes, or by open-now so you only see places that will actually be serving when you arrive. Combine filters, for example a specific brand plus open-now, to cut a long corridor list down to the two or three stops worth a detour.
| Filter | What it narrows down |
|---|---|
| Brand | Show only a named chain or cafe brand along the route |
| Category | Split fast food, sit-down restaurants and cafes apart |
| Open-now | Hide stops that will be closed by your arrival |
| Detour minutes | Sort every remaining stop from least to most added driving time |

From ranked list to the car park
Jornee ranks and filters the food stops along your route, but it does not turn those directions into in-app navigation. Once you pick a stop, Jornee hands off to Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze, whichever you already use, so the last mile of turn-by-turn guidance comes from a dedicated navigation app while the corridor search and detour ranking stay in Jornee.

One app, four driving modes: you pick, Jornee filters.
Switch between car, HGV, motorbike or EV. The map only shows stops that physically fit your vehicle: HGV-rated services, EV chargers with the right connector, height and weight restrictions baked in.
