Where to find KFC at UK motorway services
KFC is present at UK motorway services primarily through Moto and Extra (EG Group) sites, with a smaller number at Welcome Break locations. Extra, operated by EG Group, is the largest single operator of KFC at UK motorway services. Named locations: Cobham Services on the M25 (Extra, EG Group) is one of the highest-volume service areas on the UK motorway network and has KFC as part of its food offering. Donington Park on the M1 (junction 23A, Moto) combines KFC with a GRIDSERVE Electric Hub and is a natural stop on northbound M1 journeys. Rugby Services on the M6 (Extra, EG Group) at junction 1 has KFC and is a central stop between the Midlands and the northwest. Coverage at Welcome Break sites is less consistent; KFC tends not to be the primary burger brand there, where Burger King typically takes that position.

Opening hours for KFC at motorway services
KFC at motorway service areas typically operates on extended hours reflecting the 24/7 nature of the service area itself, and many KFC outlets at high-traffic Moto and Extra sites are open around the clock. That said, hours are set per location and can vary between sites and seasonally. The KFC restaurant finder on the KFC UK website lists confirmed hours for individual service area locations and is the most reliable source. If you are planning an overnight or very early departure, check the specific site hours before assuming 24-hour availability.

EV charging at KFC motorway service sites
EV charging and KFC appear together at a number of Moto and Extra sites. Moto Donington Park (M1 J23A) is the clearest example: GRIDSERVE and Tesla Supercharger chargers sit alongside KFC there, making it one of the best-served combined charging and food sites on the M1. Extra has also been expanding EV charging at its sites, notably through an IONITY partnership delivering ultra-rapid 350kW chargers. Cobham Services on the M25 has one of the largest IONITY installations in the country, providing a charge-and-eat option on the M25 orbital. Checking the current charger speeds at a specific Extra site via Zap-Map or the operator's own charger map is advisable, as installation dates and capacities vary.
