Breukelen-Oost has a Fastned rapid-charging hub with chargers rated up to 300 kW, so a car that accepts high power can add a few hundred kilometres of range in the time it takes to grab a coffee. The canopy sits right by the parking, so you plug in and walk straight to the food court.

Fuel, food and facilities
Alongside the chargers there's a Shell forecourt for petrol and diesel, a Burger King for a quick hot meal, and toilets open 24/7. It's a roadside verzorgingsplaats rather than a destination stop, everything is a short walk from the car park, which is what keeps the detour to about two minutes.

Fastned pricing: how much does charging cost here?
Fastned prices by country, not a single flat rate. In the Netherlands the pay-as-you-go price is around €0.77 per kWh, billed by the kilowatt-hour with no session fee. A 40 kWh session therefore costs roughly €31 at the ad-hoc rate. Fastned Gold membership (€11.99 per month, currently €5.99 through August 2026) cuts the rate about 30% to around €0.54 per kWh, bringing the same session to about €22. The membership pays for itself with a few sessions a month. Payment is by contactless card, app or Fastned charging card. No advance booking required.
